Zoe Sharland, our project engineer, recently had the fantastic opportunity to share the Magma story on Net Zero with the Plymouth Manufacturers Group, presenting alongside Paul Gilbert, the Net Zero Programme Lead at SWMAS Ltd.
We shared our Race to Zero commitment to halve carbon emissions by 2030, and achieve net Zero by 2050. We are already contributing in a number of ways, not least by allowing businesses to reshore their production to the UK from Asia with all the benefits that come from this.
As a plastic injection moulding factory, we know we have a big task ahead to achieve Net Zero so it was good to share and discuss the challenges simply in calculating our current emissions so that we can see the direction of the road ahead. Engaging with our peers, customers, suppliers and the wider business community through the PMG is very important for us, as a source of learning and inspiration.
